New confectionary brand Beyond Dark has revealed its first product; a dark chocolate which contains up to three times more antioxidants than rival brands.
The new Drops of Pure Pleasure chocolate is made with 70% cocoa

To make their chocolate they source quality ingredients, starting with cocoa beans principally from the African Ivory coast region, and natural Vanilla from Madagascar.
They then very slowly roast the beans to help develop their flavour then grind them, again very slowly into a smooth paste they call cocoa mass.
Sugar is added and then the natural vanilla which is then stirred for 72 hours.
This process is called conching and they do this to develop the taste of the 70% dark chocolate.
This conching process produces cocoa and sugar particles smaller than the tongue can detect, hence the smooth feel in the mouth.
After the process is complete, the chocolate is molded into Drops of Pure Pleasure.
Beyond Dark director Kevin Nester said:
“A high proportion of the natural antioxidants in dark chocolate are usually destroyed during the production process, but this is not the case with our product, thanks to a special production process.”
