US BRAND NEWMAN’S OWN LAUNCHES POMEGRANATE LEMONADE
Newman’s Own adds Pomegranate Lemonade to its range of All-Natural Virgin Lemonades.
Newman’s Own has been experiencing a major sales growth surge in one of its classic, family recipe inspired products: Old-Fashioned Roadside Virgin Lemonade.
According to IRI, sales of the lemonade grew by twenty nine percent this summer compared to summer 2009.
The availability of Newman’s Own Lemonade continues to expand and it is now available in approximately forty percent of the United States.
The new creation, Newman’s Own Pomegranate Lemonade, joins the Newman’s Own lemonade line-up in New England this month.

Newman’s Own Pomegranate Lemonade couples the sweet taste of pomegranates with a tried-and-true lemonade recipe and delivers a refreshing product.
Like the other Newman’s Own lemonades, pomegranate is all natural and contains no high fructose corn syrup and no artificial ingredients.

Newman’s Own Pomegranate Lemonade provides one hundred percent of the daily value of vitamin C and is also a good source of vitamin E.
Newman’s Own has introduced six lemonade varieties in twenty years, including the original Virgin Lemonade, or ‘the golden nectar from a recipe handed down through seven generations of the Woodward family’ as it is also referred to in company oral history.
The other five include: Lightly Sweetened Virgin Lemonade; Pink Virgin Lemonade; Virgin Limeade; Virgin Lemon-Aided Iced Tea and now Virgin Pomegranate Lemonade.
All retail for approximately $2.19 for a sixty four fl. oz carton and Virgin Lemonade, Pink Virgin Lemonade and Virgin Lemon-Aided Iced Tea are also available as shelf-stable six-packs, 6.7 oz.
New crisp, clean and contemporary packaging rolls out on the entire Newman’s Own lemonade line simultaneously with the introduction of Newman’s Own Virgin Pomegranate Lemonade and now carries a “All Profits to Charity” statement, a reflection of the company’s mission, “Shameless Exploitation in Pursuit of the Common Good.”
