PICCINI SHOWS ITS SUPERTUSCAN ROOTS WITH LATEST UK RELEASE

September 7th, 2010

Piccini has launched a new addition to its Piccini Tuscany UK retail range – a SuperTuscan.

A blend of seventy percent Sangiovese, twenty percent Cabernet Sauvignon and ten percent Merlot, Piccini’s SuperTuscan IGT 2008 is exclusive to Tesco stores.

The new SuperTuscan comes with an RRP of £8.99 and sports a back label explaining the SuperTuscan concept.

Sales & Marketing Director Martina Piccini explains:

“Piccini is not just about Chianti; we are making fantastic wines using grapes from all over Tuscany.

So introducing a SuperTuscan to our range makes perfect sense – it’s the maraschino cherry on our cassata cake!”

Online, in-store and Consumer-facing activity is planned in support of the wine’s launch to ensure Consumers fully understand the SuperTuscan term and therefore Piccini’s great value for money proposition.

Currently the No. 1 Italian brand from Tuscany in the UK Off-Trade, family-owned and run Piccini has been operating from the heart of the Tuscan countryside for over one hundred and twenty years.
