TOASTABLE MEAT SNACK LAUNCHES IN THE UK
Being called the ‘meaty pop tart’, Tillman’s is to launch in the UK this autumn with a new toastable product.
Its debut UK product will be Toast Me! the world’s first ‘toastable’ meat snack, which will appear on shelves this October following success in the German market.
Toast Me! is a straight-from-the-freezer toastable snack, with a range of different fillings available in a crumbed, toast-shaped casing.
The snack product is available in the UK in the Chicken Toast Me! and the Bacon & Egg Breakfast Toast Me! variants.
Covered in a golden breadcrumb coating, the snacks are created using only quality ingredients and can be heated to readiness from frozen in a couple of minutes.
The Chicken Toast Me! is created using one hundred percent chicken breast fillet, while the Bacon & Egg Breakfast Toast Me! is made using one hundred percent back bacon.
Toast Me! is produced entirely without flavour enhancers, colourings or preservatives and no additional fat is required for preparation.
A Tillman’s Toast Me! is as big as a normal slice of bread for toasting and weighs seventy grams, each Toast Me! pack contains two pieces of toasty individually wrapped in foil.
The UK launch of Toast Me! will be supported by a comprehensive advertising, social media and PR campaign, encompassing television slots, trade and consumer media, and sampling events.
Known as Tillman’s Toasty in Germany, the snack product took one and a half years to develop and is the brainchild of Tillman’s Fleisch & Convenience GmbH,
Founded in 1971, the €4 billion Tönnies Group of companies is Germany’s market leader in pig meat processing and pre-packed meat.
Due to the patented production process of Toast Me!, the toaster stays as clean as if a normal slice of bread was being toasted and keeps its shape without any fat escaping.
Tillman’s Toasty hit the German market in January 2008 and is now the country’s most successful meat snack, with sales in excess of fifteen million units a year and a string of awards to its name.

Tillman’s Toast Me! will hit major retail stores around the UK at the beginning of October.
