THURSDAY COTTAGE LAUNCHES NEW FRUIT COULIS
Thursday Cottage have added a range of four fruit coulis to their range of fruity condiments.
The brand pride themselves on being “very English” and the new coulis are packed with eighty percent (English) fruit and only twenty percent sugar.
The new range includes raspberry, gooseberry and elderflower, blackcurrant and damson.
The coulis have been designed for multi-purpose use, but suggestions from Thursday Cottage include: pouring it over icecream or Pavlova, stiring it into yoghurt, or using in a summer cocktail.
While there are a large range of different fruit coulis currently on the market, many are packed full of sugar and carry a hefty price tag.
The Thursday Cottage coulis retail at just under £3 and are marketing themselves on their high fruit content.
Thursday Cottage is based at Trewlands Farm, in Tiptree, North Essex where small group of workers make an enormous variety of preserves under Tim Came and his team.
All of the food products are made from what Thursday Cottage deem the finest ingredients in small batches in open pans.
After the products have been stirred and cooked they are then filled by hand, the result is a wide range of preserves, including jams, marmalades, curds and jellies.
The company also make a range of Christmas products, including puddings, mincemeat and brandy and rum butters.
The Damson Coulis won a three star gold in this year’s Great Taste Awards, one of only eighty seven entries from over six thousand.
