SWEET FREEDOM WINS ANOTHER GOLD GREAT TASTE AWARD
Both versions of Sweet Freedom, the healthier all-natural alternative to sugar has, for the second year running, been awarded Gold stars in the 2010 Great Taste Awards in both the Sweet Ingredients and Diabetic categories .
The product is made one hundred percent from fruit (just apple, grape and carob) with nothing else added.
The Judges comments this year included “Very clean and so clever – like it, good product” and “Nice clean product – very versatile”.
Sweet Freedom is quickly becoming one of the market leaders in the sweetener category, providing for health-conscious individuals who are looking to reduce their sugar intake without resorting to the use of controversial artificial sweeteners.
Sweet Freedom tastes like sugar but has the health benefits of twenty five percent fewer calories and you can use twenty five – fifty percent less gram for gram.
Due to its low GL (Glycaemic Load) it will not cause a sugar rush or subsequent energy crash making it an option for diabetics.
Many top Chefs, including Raymond Blanc have been buying in bulk for both restaurant and kitchen use.
Sweet Freedom is available in two versions, both multi-purpose syrups:
* The sweetener has a neutral, sugar-like taste that can be used for everything from sweetening tea and coffee through to replacing sugar in cooking and baking.
* The syrup is darker and richer – designed to spread on toast and use on porridge and pancakes and anywhere consumers prefer a deeper flavour. It is also an economical alternative to use in place of maple syrup which due to current shortages is double the price.
Sweet Freedom comes in a squeezable bottle with a drip free cap to avoid mess and stickiness. It is also an alternative option for children who prefer the taste of Sweet Freedom to honey in taste tests.
the product is available to purchase at retail in a 300ml drip free squeezy bottle from Tesco, Waitrose (both free from or sugar shelf), Ocado, Holland & Barrett, Costco and health food stores nationwide RRP £2.99.
Sweet Freedom is also GM free & gluten free, suitable for vegetarians and vegans (registered with The Vegan Society), and contains only twenty five grams of fructose per one hundred grams, far lower than honey that has around forty.
Sweet Freedom is made using water extracted using no chemicals or enzymes. It is not bleached or chemically adulterated and is made in the UK. Crystalline ‘fruit sugar’ is actually made from sugar beet, not fruit.
