MCAIN SPREADS THE WORD ON ‘HEALTHY CHIPS’
McCain, the UK’s frozen potato brand, is raising the awareness of Rustic Oven Chips, the chip with four green traffic lights, with a new communications campaign.
Throughout August, McCain will be highlighting the health credentials of Rustic Oven Chips and “addressing the misconceptions that all chips are unhealthy”.
The campaign is targeting health-conscious affluent females through press and online advertorials.
The move builds on from the sponsorship of the Metro newspaper health pages, which started in July and continues into August.
Alan Castle, head of customer marketing, said:
“We are really proud of our Rustic Oven Chips and want to remind consumers of its credentials, including four FSA green traffic lights for fat, saturated fat, sugar and salt.
Rustic Oven Chips appeal to affluent and young adults, an audience who don’t often buy into the frozen chip category so there is an opportunity for growth by recruiting new consumers with our health message.”
Made from only British potatoes and cooked in sunflower oil, McCain Rustic Oven Chips are only 3% fat and have their skins left on for natural goodness.
McCain Rustic Oven Chips are widely available in all leading supermarkets. RSP £1.90 for 1kg pack.
