JORDANS EXTENDS CEREAL BAR RANGE

Breakfast cereal brand Jordans Cereals has extended its best-selling Frusli range with the launch of a new variant.

New Apple, Sultana and Cinnamon Frusli Bars are gently baked using ingredients grown on British nature friendly Conservation Grade farms.

Each bar contains at least twenty five percent fruit which is then mixed with wholegrain oat flakes, juicy sultanas and a hint of cinnamon to produce a moist, chewy bar.

Hoping to offer great stand out on shelf, the range is supplied in contemporary branding that highlights the high fruit content of the bar.

The total cereal bar market is currently worth £362m, growing strongly at 6%.

Ceri Bennett, project manager at Jordans, said:

“At Jordans, we have witnessed a growing consumer trend for sweet snacks that are both delicious and provide convenient sustainable energy.

The new Apple, Sultana & Cinnamon Frusli bars clearly taps into this trend.”

Jordans’ Frusli bars are a leading brand in the naturally wholesome segment, with a fourteen percent share of the eighty seven million pound market.

This growth presents a huge opportunity for convenience retailers, whose impulse fixtures have traditionally been dominated by high sugar and high fat confectionary brands.

Jordans’ Frusli, Apple & Sultana & Cinnamon is available from supermarkets nationwide with an RRP of £1.79.

The rest of the Frusli range includes: Cranberry & Apple; Raisin & Hazelnut; Red Berry; Blueberry and Truly Tropical.

All Jordans’ Frusli packs contain six bars.
