DIVINE ANNOUNCES ITS SCHEDULE FOR CHOCOLATE WEEK
Farmer-owned chocolate company Divine Chocolate has been a sponsor of Chocolate Week since it was created and is once again delighted to be co-sponsoring this nationwide celebration of chocolate.
Divine has teamed up top chefs, hotels and leading restaurants to offer exclusive new recipes and uniquely Divine-themed chocolate events across the country.
Chocolate Week, the week-long celebration of fine chocolate held each year in October, is now in its seventh year and hopes to be bigger & better than ever.

Divine has also launched a brand new addition to its one hundred gram range for Chocolate Week.
The pure eighty five per cent Dark Chocolate bar is made using Ghanaian cocoa beans and delivers an intense taste with flavours of red berries.
The new bar extends Divine’s dark chocolate product range and was launched in response to consumer demand for darker, purer chocolate products.
The eighty five per cent Dark Chocolate bar is available at Tesco (RRP £1.69) but Divine will also be sampling and offering the new chocolate in restaurants, department stores and delis throughout the UK during Chocolate Week.
Divine has teamed up with top chefs each of whom have created a Deeply, Darkly Divine recipe using the new eighty five per cent Dark Chocolate.
Two Michelin starred chef Tom Aikens created a recipe for Divine Chocolate Fudge Cake and says:
“Divine’s eighty five per cent Dark Chocolate is great for cooking with or just to nibble on with a cup of coffee! Chocolate with such a high cocoa level has less sugar and is much better for you than normal chocolate.”
MasterChef presenter Gregg Wallace sent in a recipe for Divine Chocolate Pots, while Harriet Eastwood, presenter of Channel 4’s Cook Yourself Thin sent in a recipe for Divine Beetroot Brownies.
Divine has also joined forces with award winning cookery school The Bertinet Kitchen in Bath.

Divine Chocolate Muffin
French chef and baker and owner of the school Richard Bertinet has created a recipe for Chocolate Fondant with Cherries, using Divine’s new Dark Chocolate bar.
To celebrate Chocolate Week the cookery school will be holding Divine Chocolate Tastings & Giveaways all week for those attending classes.
In addition to this, everyone attending a course will be trying Richard’s wickedly rich Divine Hot Chocolate. Divine will also be used in recipes in all classes throughout the week and a number of Divine Specials will feature in the school’s Saturday Morning Bakery class.
As part of chocolate week Divine has also been collaborating with The Pudding Club in the Cotswolds to offer chocolate lovers a host of chocolate activities.
The Pudding Club is known the world over and was established to honour the traditional British pudding! Two Chocoholics Weekends will take place to celebrate Chocolate Week with Divine.
Divine’s chocolatier will be hosting Divine workshops on 9th & 10th October. Linda Collister, former chef to the late Queen Mother and author of Divine’s recipe book, will be holding Divine demonstrations on 16th & 17th October.
These two weekends are a Divine Chocolate extravaganza with delights including hot chocolate & chocolate biscuits on arrival, chocolate featuring in every course on the menu, pain au chocolate and chocolate spread with breakfast, a chocolate treasure hunt in local Cotswold villages, and ‘we are chocoholics’ goody bags!
Restaurants across the country are teaming up with Divine to offer Divine-themed menus for Chocolate Week. These include winner of Observer Food Monthly’s Best Vegetarian Restaurant Terre à Terre in Brighton which will be hosting a Divine Chocolate workshop with Divine’s master chocolatier David Greenwood-Haigh on 13th October.
The restaurant’s pastry chef has also created a Dark Chocolate Chocolate & Hazelnut Torte using Divine’s new eight five per cent chocolate.
Another highlight of Divine’s Chocolate Week activity is a Divine Chocolate Afternoon Tea at The Orangery at Kensington Palace.
Two special Divine pastries have been created by The Orangery’s pastry chefs: a Divine Chocolate Tart made with Divine ganache & creamy toffee in a sweet pastry case topped with orange cream, and a Divine Chocolate & Praline Opera, comprising layered chocolate ganache, coffee buttercream, hazelnut praline and chocolate sponge.
Hotels across the UK are working with Divine this year for Chocolate Week.
Cocktails made using Divine and free Divine samples will be on offer all week at Hotel du Vin, The Oriental, Drakes Hotel and Hotel Una in Brighton.
