CLIPPER ADDS MANUKA HONEY TO ITS GREEN TEA RANGE
Clipper Teas, the British tea makers, have added a unique ingredient to their green tea range.
Known for their fair and natural teas Clipper is launching the new Manuka Honey green tea into Waitrose and Tesco stores from this month.
The new product has natural healing properties contained within its tea which hopes to compete with the increasing numbers of health teas now on the market.
Clipper tea already produces wellbeing varieties of teas including Echinacea, and Ginkgo Bilboa, the Manuka Honey variety is designed to complement the range.
Originating from New Zealand, Manuka Honey has become extremely popular in the last few years in the UK having established natural healing properties and strong anti-bacterial powers for the body.
Gill Hesketh, Marketing Director at Clipper Teas, commented:
“The healing and soothing powers of Manuka honey have captivated doctors and experts across the world and we are extremely excited to be offering a Green Tea variety to our range.
Our Green Tea range is extremely popular and our customers are constantly looking for new varieties.”
Building on its strong Fairtrade heritage, Clipper, last year turned all of its Green Tea Fairtrade, strengthening its reputation as an ethical business and it’s commitment to the development of decent and sustainable livelihoods for workers.
Sourced from Tea Estates regarded as being some of the best in the world in Africa, India and Sri Lanka, all Clipper products are free from any artificial ingredients in unbleached tea bags, Clipper has always sourced its own suppliers and selected, blended, tasted and packed its own products.
Priced at £1.89 for twenty bags, Green Tea with Manuka Honey is now available from Tesco Extra and will be in Holland and Barratt stores from September.
