LURPAK OPENS ITS ONLINE GOOD FOOD FINDER

July 26th, 2010

The Good Food Finder, the online initiative from Lurpak, is now open for business.

Lurpak, Britain’s butter brand, is inviting retailers to promote their Good Food wares on the new website which helps consumers to source good food ingredients.

Lurpak would like to invite grocers, greengrocers, bakers, butchers, delis, ethnic food retailers and market stall owners to help customers locate them by digitally shouting about their locally sourced or specialty ingredients.

But how does the website work? - In essence, the Good Food Finder is a hub where users can find particular ingredients locally.

Both consumers and good food business owners may submit their own food finds into the database, users can then findretailers of ingredients through entering their postcode and/or selecting from a defined category.

Visitors to the site can then use the Good Food Finder to create meals from fresh, locally sourced and speciality ingredients.

The Good Food Finder is the latest addition to Lurpak’s digital initiatives which hope to encourage the nation to discover or enhance a love for good quality food.

Following the launch six months ago of Bake Club – an online baking community with over seven thousand six hundred members; the Good Food Finder is all about encouraging consumers to enjoy the sense of achievement generated through sourcing good food ingredients and cooking from scratch.

How can Lurpak claim to be Britain’s butter brand when they’re from Denmark?

And so how exactly are they able to be an advocate of local food??
