DEL MONTE LAUNCHES NEW FRUITINI BAGS
Del Monte, is reinvigorating the fresh fruit category with a brand new range of Del Monte Fruitini bags.
The new fruit bags are to be sold with an exclusive promotional campaign through Tesco.
The new bags offer consumers a choice of 4 products:
- Crinkly Apple Slices
- Scrummy Grapes
- Juicy Pineapple “Slithers”
- Luscious Melon Bites
Del Monte’s on-pack-promotion is in association with London’s largest family restaurant, the Rainforest Café.
The promotion will offer twenty children a selection of prizes including the chance to attend a VIP Del Monte Fruitini event at the Rainforest Café in October.
This promotion aimed at children hopes to engage young consumers in the product launch while motivating them to eat
healthily.
Increasing consumer awareness of healthy eating and child obesity, means that fresh fruit produce remains a key player in the ever-growing lunchbox market, which has seen a 8% rise recentally.
The new Del Monte Fruitini bags therefore provide consumers looking for a convenient and hassle free healthy option for themselves or their children.
Tesco will be supporting the launch of the new range throughout August and September in their stores through an in-store promotion which will offer consumers discount coupons at point-of-sale.
These coupons hope to give parents an incentive purchase the new products, perfect timing for the ‘back to school’ purchasing of food for kids lunchboxes.
Del Monte’s new fruit bags hope to reach out to parents who themselves remember consuming the brand when they were at school, encouraging them to give their children the same healthy option for their lunch.
The Fruitini website has been designed to provide visitors with games and educational facts about fruits, centered around a Rainforest theme.
The new Fruitini bags come with an RRP of 43p and the Del Monte Fruitini range is currently only stocked Tesco stores nationwide.
