This role in sporting event is a positive marketing opportunity for the Welsh brand as this is the first time The Ryder Cup has ever been staged in Wales.
The Celtic Manor Resort near Newport will host the golf competition, ensuring that players and guests are refreshed and hydrated with the Wales brand of water.
Given the red vs. blue team colours, Ty Nant Natural Mineral Water will be available in the cobalt blue glass bottles and in crimson red glass. The water will be served in hospitality and dining areas whilst Ty Nant’s ‘ice like’ PET bottles will provide water to the golfers and spectators on the golf course.
Ty Nant has been associated with sporting events previously including the Stella Artois Tennis Championships and Masters Tennis.
Not a stranger to product placement, the company’s water also appeared in James Bond film Die Another Day, both Bridget Jones films, The Italian Job and television shows including Friends, The Apprentice and The F Word.
Ty Nant also offers impressive environmental and ethical credentials having achieved ISO 14001 and Soil Association accreditation, whilst working with the Pink Ribbon Foundation to raise funds for breast cancer charities throughout the UK.
Nick Taylor, General Manager Director at Ty Nant says:
“The Ryder Cup is the largest event ever to have come to Wales and as one of Wales’ top international brands, we are delighted that Ty Nant has been chosen.”
Ty Nant Natural Mineral Water is served in hotels, spas and restaurants throughout Wales and across the world as well as being available from Waitrose and Ocado nationally, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Spar stores in Wales, John Lewis in London’s Oxford St, Harrdos and Harvey Nichols.
David Relph, General Manager for Sales and Marketing at Ty Nant added
“We are immensely proud to be part of what is amongst the most popular spectator sporting events in the world. Water is of course essential to good health and hydration and Ty Nant is a by-word for style and well-being.”
Ty Nant is a member of British Bottled Water Producers, which exists to promote the benefits of UK-sourced waters.
