NEW BIODEGRADABLE TEA BAG LAUNCHED BY EMEYU
The tea bag is taking another leap forward with the launch of a new range from specialist tea company Emeyu.
The range features muslin tea bags filled with loose leaf teas and new flavours including Pu-erh Chai and Eight Butterflies green tea.
Emeyu’s goal was to create the ‘perfect tea bag’ – one that is convenient and attractive which providing the drinker with an experience equal to drinking loose leaf teas.
The tea also had to be environmentally friendly to support the company’s focus on organic teas.
After months of testing and research, Emeyu settled on the cotton muslin tea bag which is biodegradable, tactile and has a mesh for releasing the flavour of the tea leaf.
The cotton muslin tea bags allow the tea leaf to unfold properly releasing maximum taste without leaving a taste residue.
Emeyu Founder Kristiane Blomqvist says that:
“Just as with loose leaf tea, the tea drinker gets to experience the shape, smell and feel of the leaf, which aims to both relax and stimulate concentration and well-being.”
The whole-leaf teas, hand-picked for the range, are sourced from tea gardens in India, China and Japan and yield balanced, smooth and refreshing flavours.
The range exhibits a variety of flavours:
Emeyu offer largely organic, teas sourced from the tea gardens in Asia. The brand supplies some of the top hotels and specialist food destinations in Europe including Ritz Carlton Hotels, Harrods & Harvey Nichols.
