OUTDOOR DINING IN LONDON

May 25th, 2010

Hackney’s Victoria Park is hosting a summer long “pop-up” restaurant at the Pavilion starting 4 June.

Chef Isaac McHale is behind the project. Only open on Fridays, “pop-up” offers a range of summer meals and accompanying wines.

There are five courses to choose from paired with wine, dishes such as; warm Isle of Wight tomatoes with iced goat’s milk; char-grilled Cornish mackerel; shoulder of Old Spot pork baked in hay with broccoli and spring onions; and crushed Scottish raspberries with oats and cream.

£50 per person, the meals start from 6–7 PM.
Reservations can be made on 020-8980-0030 or via e-mail brett@elliotsboroughmarket.com.

The Al-Fresco season is also being officially declared open by Inn the Park, which has begun its evening openings from 6 PM onward. Drinks are available at its rooftop bar in St. James’s Park near the Ritz and dining takes place downstairs.

Salads, tarts and sandwiches are available takeaway.
