KERRYGOLD RELEASES NEW BUTTER SPORTS BALLS

May 28th, 2010

The Kerrygold Company’s range of butter sports balls are designed to capitalise on the host of sporting events taking place this year, including the 2010 football World Cup.

Available in the shape of footballs and golf balls, the butter balls have been designed especially for establishments looking to capitalise on sporting events such as the 2010 World Cup and the Ryder Cup golf tournament.

The butter balls have been individually quick frozen for freshness, and defrost quickly, cutting down on front-of-house labour costs and preparation times.

Dean Andrews, Kerrygold’s Business Development Manager, says:

“We’re always looking at innovative ways to provide our foodservice customers with high quality, adaptable products that build on our heritage of premium quality butter.

So with less than a month to go before the 2010 World Cup in June and the Ryder Cup in October, we are excited to be able to offer these unique butters that can proudly sit front of house, and add to the sporting themed occasion.”

The Kerrygold Company has agreed to supply Virgin Airlines with the butter footballs throughout the football World Cup, and Celtic Manor, Newport, Wales with its golf ball shaped butter throughout the Ryder Cup in October.

The frozen footballs and frozen golf butter balls are available in 3 x 100 case sizes, with each butter ball weighing 10g.
