BART SPICES ADDS FAIRTRADE MESSAGE

May 26th, 2010

Bart Spices has applied a series of small Fix-a-Form multi-page labels to its Fairtrade spice jars, to communicate its ethical and environmental policies to its customers and at the same time will roll out new and delicious recipe ideas.

Nine different jars host the leaflets which allow the company to roll out information about organic farming which protects wildlife and the environment.

Each of the spices carries a suggested recipe idea from around the world so cooks can be more creative. The special packs are now on sale in Sainsbury’s and Waitrose.

Bart Spices was established in Bristol in the 1960s and has grown into one of the UK’s leading ingredients suppliers.
Keeping sustainability at the forefront of the packaging ethos, a Bart Spices spokesperson commented:

“Fix-a-Form is an outstanding informational and promotional tool.

Spice jars are compact in size and we wanted to keep the clean and simple, packaging-free style we have achieved at Bart Spices without compromise. The Fix-a-Form is just perfect for our needs. It has given us the space to give customers more information and recipe help which we hope will encourage brand loyalty and a better understanding of environmental issues.”
