GOOD FOOD GUIDE LAUNCHES iPHONE APP
With independent reviews of restaurants, pubs and cafés across the UK, food lovers have relied on The Good Food Guide for advice on the best places to eat for almost 60 years*.
The Guide has just launched a new iPhone application (app) to allow people to find the best places to eat on the move, and give feedback on their dining experiences.
The new iPhone app can automatically determine a user’s location via GPS technology**. No matter where you are in the UK, you’ll be able to search for the best dining options by cost, cuisine type, distance from location or by the rating awarded by The Good Food Guide. Once you’ve chosen your restaurant, you’ll be able to call them or visit their website, and you’ll even be able to find your way there using a Google Map.
You can then use the app to email or tweet your friends, and send feedback on your experience to The Good Food Guide, which will be used to update the next edition***.
Elizabeth Carter, Consultant Editor of The Good Food Guide, says:
“This launch marks another key milestone in the Guide’s history as it approaches its 60th birthday. Whether you’re looking for fine dining or a great-value pub, The Good Food Guide can help. We’re confident that food lovers will find this new iPhone app indispensable, not to mention fantastic value for money.”
For a limited period, the app will be priced at 59p and can be downloaded at www.thegoodfoodguide.com or found on the iTunes app store. Users will get full access to The Good Food Guide’s reviews.
