POT NOODLE LAUNCES NEW CHRISTMAS DINNER FLAVOUR
Pot Noodle has brusseled up a new ‘Christmas Dinner? festive flavour, the ‘Pot Noeldle?, in honour of the British troops serving in Afghanistan during Christmas.
The link up was made possible by Absolute Radio Breakfast Show DJ Christian O’Connell after Sergeant Ian Hobbs of the RAF Regiment called the show on a visit home to ask for help in bringing some festive cheer to his comrades out in Afghanistan, saying the treat his troops love most is a tasty Pot Noodle.
O’Connell then challenged Pot Noodle to create a new ‘Christmas dinner? flavour and they immediately set their flavourists to work on a man filled pot of two festive taste sensations, turkey and stuffing which will be delivered to a squadron of lads on the frontline just in time for Christmas.
Members of the RAF regiment will be the first to get their chops around the newly created Pot Noel-dle, which is being considered for general sale in the UK in 2010. Sgt Hobbs is now back on a tour of duty in Afghanistan with 27 Squadron RAF Regiment, many of whom are young men spending their first Christmas away from home.
Christian O’Connell said: “We were flooded with calls from people wanting to support British troops serving during Christmas and the idea was just to do something that would put a smile on their faces. Popeye needed his Spinach and our boys need their Pot
