VEGETARIAN FOCUS MAY ANSWER PLANET’S PROBLEMS

November 19th, 2009

Wendy Turner Webster, broadcaster and author, a Vegetarian Society patron of over five years, commented at the Vegetarian Awards, “Everyone works hard all year round to develop, produce, cook, sell or write about products and services that really matter to vegetarians.

As the environmental advantages of meat-free living become more and more apparent, Vegetarianism itself has never been more relevant, but if people can’t think what to eat then they’re not going to change. And that’s where you all come in!”

This is the Vegetarian Society Awards’ ninth year and guests came from across the UK to celebrate the very best in vegetarian food, catering and lifestyle, highlighting to the nation those companies and services which make life better for vegetarians in the UK.

Vanessa Brown, Head of Corporate Relations for the Vegetarian Society said, “The Vegsoc Approved logo is recognised throughout the world as a mark of integrity as well as a shortcut to choosing products that really are suitable for vegetarians. It was a great night, a showcase for companies and individuals who are passionate about best practice.”
