TROPICAL SUN LAUNCHES NEW SEASONINGS

November 4th, 2009

The Tropical Sun range of authentic African and Caribbean products has introduced three new product lines to their seasoning range. Cock Flavoured Seasoning, Oxtail Seasoning and Curry Goat Seasoning are available now for consumers “looking for the real taste of the Caribbean”.

The makers claim that Tropical Sun and its sister brand Jamaica Sun are the most recognisable Afro-Caribbean brands in the UK, and the diverse range of over 200  Caribbean and African products are becoming more popular, with the seasoning range showing an increase of 20% year-on-year.

We are told that Tropical Sun Oxtail Seasoning contains a blend of spices and herbs which create the authentic taste of Jamaican oxtail. Oxtail originally meant the tail of an ox, but nowadays it generally means beef tail. It’s one of Jamaica’s favorite dishes.

It is reported that no Jamaican party is without Curry Goat, which is traditionally served at celebrations like weddings and christenings, and is fast becoming the ‘Caribbean favorite’ of UK consumers. Tropical Sun Curry Goat seasoning offers a rich blend of spices, specifically formulated to produce an authentic Curry Goat flavour.

The brand owners tell us that soups and stews are a staple of Caribbean cuisine, and the new Tropical Sun Cock Flavoured Seasoning is a versatile ingredient to prepare soups and stews as well as marinades and gravies.

All seasonings come complete with simple recipes on the side of the pack.
