READY STEAD COOK CREATES CHRISTMAS MAGIC

Ainsley Harriott and his gang of celebrity chefs dust off their baubles and tinsel and invites BBC Two Daytime viewers to celebrate Christmas with the Ready Steady Cook family and a whole host of famous faces.

Former Emmerdale star Linda Lusardi and husband Sam Kane are usually on stage rivals in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs – but they’ve put their crown and poison aside for the day to team up with chefs Garrey Dawson and Brian Turner to create some festive delights.

Actress Claire Sweeney and magician Magic Mandy – the first female to host The Magic Circle- -will go head to head in the kitchen with the help of chefs Maria Elia and current I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! contestant Gino D’Acampo. Ex Brookside resident Claire has recently starred in the musical Shout! and will be appearing as the wicked Stepmother in Sleeping Beauty. Who will create the most spellbinding dish?

Comedian StanBoardman (Opportunity Knocks)and TV presenter daughter Andrea Boardman enlist the help of Lesley Waters and Richard Phillips to produce some scrumptious food that is definitely not a laughing matter!The pair have mesmerized and entertained millions of people over the years…how will they fare with only twenty minute to impress?

Actors and Sister Act co- stars, Ian Lavender and Patina Miller will be working with chefs Garrey Dawson and Aldo Zilli in a bid to be crowned the winner by the studio audience and add the coveted Ready Steady Cook plate to their mantle. Ian Lavender has appeared in numerous programmes including long running soap Eastenders as well as the much loved comedy Dad’s Army.

No Christmas party is complete without music. Jazz musicians Kenny Ball and Chris Barber round off the celebrations with chefs Gino D’Acampo and James Tanner. The jazz legends will cook up a storm in the kitchen in the hopes of preparing the best Yuletide treats.
