DREAMFIELDS LOW CARB PASTA DELIVERS ON TASTE
The US healthy pasta Dreamfields has positioned its product as the perfect complement to a healthier lifestyle, Dreamfields’ range of low GI pastas helps to sustain energy and control blood sugar’s – without compromising on taste.
The product certainly delivers, we tried it here at the FDIN and it was as good as any past we’ve tried apart, that is, from freshly made of course.
It is made with premium durum wheat semolina and their SPAGHETTI, PENNE RIGATE AND ROTINI have 5 grams of digestible carbs and twice the fibre of regular pasta – Dreamfields contains Inulin, a natural prebiotic fibre.
Previously available in a selected number of trial outlets, Dreamfields is now rolling its range out to retailers throughout the UK via leading food and drink distributor Food Sellers Ltd.
Lee Chapman, UK Marketing Director for Dreamfields, says: “We are very excited to be bringing Dreamfields to a wider UK trade audience for the first time and believe the brand offers a great-tasting, healthy alternative, especially for people with diabetes or those managing their weight by
restricting carbs within their diet. This represents a huge opportunity for retailers here”.
“Dreamfields is already a major success in the US and we look forward to replicating that in the UK where the brand has so far only been on sale in a selected number of health food outlets and online. The response from health-conscious consumers looking for a healthy yet delicious alternative to regular pasta has already been overwhelming.”
Dreamfields plans to follow its UK trade launch with a significant marketing and consumer PR campaign that will help the brand replicate its success in the US, where it is already a leading brand within the
healthy pasta category with sales of more than $16 million and growing by more than 9% year-on-year (Nielsen, 52 w/e 8th August 2009).
Food Sellers Managing Director David Kearns adds: “We are delighted to have been appointed distributor for Dreamfields in the UK and Ireland and
look forward to helping retailers offer their customers a unique proposition that delivers on both health and taste.”
