WEIGHT WATCHERS FROM HEINZ LAUNCHES NEW FROZEN READY MEALS

Weight Watchers from Heinz is unveiling a new range of frozen ready meals, Weight Watchers from Heinz Home Comforts. The range is inspired by great British, home cooked classics, which will capitalise on dieting needs and category trends.
There are four new products:
WWfH Chicken & Dumpling Casserole and WWfH Beef & Red Wine Casserole will offer delicious meals made with tender cuts of meat and tasty vegetables in savoury gravy.
New WWfH Steak & Mushroom and WWfH Chicken & Mushroom Pies expertly combine favourite indulgent fillings with delicious golden pastry and quality lean cuts of meat that consumers can enjoy even when watching their weight.
“We know that dieters love great tasting traditional home-made food but often can’t have it when they’re on a diet,” says Sally Marshall, Senior Brand Manager, Heinz Frozen UK. “So now dieters don’t have to be left out in the cold and can enjoy the variety, indulgence and taste off flavoursome winter warmers. The Home Comforts range delivers great tasting meals with rich sauces or gravies and tender cuts of meats”.
The frozen ready meals market is worth £490 million and WWfH has an 11.5% share, up 12.5% over the last year[1]. Success has come from delivering products that ensure dieters don’t get bored and by giving them the food they love.
“At Heinz we are always committed to responding to consumer demand,” continues Sally Marshall. “The new range of Home Comforts capitalises on the growing trends for traditional style recipes and aims to increase evening meal consumption of WWfH frozen ready meals. The new additions will continue to drive growth for the category and our market leading brand.”
