SQUIRES KITCHEN LAUNCHES GANACHE CAKE COVERING
Ganache is a silky smooth mix of cream and chocolate that can be poured, piped or used as a filling. It appears as an ingredient in many commercial, as well as home made cakes.
Now Squires Kitchen has created a Ganache Mix which is a powdered mix of high quality cream and real Belgian chocolate.
They claim it will free up space in the kitchen as there is less storing of fresh cream and chocolate.
They say it is a good base for making the ultimate chocolate buttercream by combining it with unsalted butter to make the perfect creamy cupcake topping.
The makers also say consumers can whip up something quick but impressive for unexpected guests because they can create a gorgeous last-minute cake filling or coating.
They go on to say consumers can create tasty and original gifts because the new product is ideal for making quick and easy chocolates that make great Christmas presents or after dinner treats.
The manufactures suggest rolling balls of ganache into cocoa powder to make truffles, adding your favourite liqueur or flavouring when making the ganache for an extra-special touch.

• SK Chocolate Ganache Mix can be poured directly onto a smooth, crumb-free cake surface, or you can prepare your cake with either a coating of marzipan, or even better – SK Instant Mix Chocolate Marzipan to make a delicious chocolate almond base for your ganache.
• Simply mix SK Chocolate Ganache Mix with cooled, boiled water, warm in the microwave or bain marie and stir until smooth.
• This velvety mixture can then be poured slowly over your cake until covered. The ganache will set to a soft cutting consistency.
• Finish with ready-made Chocolate Roses and you’re done!
