PEPSICO LAUNCHES PLANET LUNCHBOX
Pepsico launches Planet Lunch, positioned as a healthy lunchbox range made from 100% natural ingredients and delivering positive nutrition from fruit, wholegrain and fibre.
The Planet Lunch range – including a Juice Drink, Squeezable Fruit, Fruit and Oat Bites, Bread Bites, and a Stick and Dip is designed to provide parents with a variety of healthy choices for their child’s lunchbox.
Pepsico research with parents and children has told them that parents want a greater variety of healthy options for the lunchbox where the ingredients are 100% natural, while children want something that tastes great and is fun to eat.
PepsiCo has developed the Planet Lunch range with this challenge in mind – producing a range of products that are low or medium in salt, fat and sugar, and contain ingredients like wholegrain, fruit and vegetables – all in portion sizes suitable for children.
The entire range also meets the nutrient profiling model developed by the FSA and OFCOM to ensure only healthy products can be advertised to children.
Planet Lunch has its own website, with a section for parents wanting to explore healthy eating.
