MINTEL LAUNCHES NPD RESEARCH TOOL
Global NPD is a tough business. It’s hard to know what’s going on in the various markets around the world and how to respond with new or improved products. Mintel has come up with a new service to help.
A new business tool enabling market conditions at the touch of a button has been revealed as Mintel launches its market size and share tool, Global Market Navigator (GMN). GMN provides details on over 4000 categories from 22 markets in 54 countries, and it gives businesses instant access to critical market data for consumer industries across the world.
Steve Charlton, Managing Director of Mintel’s Global Market Navigator, said: “Global Market Navigator is an exciting addition to Mintel’s products that support business needs. In these challenging economic times, it is more important than ever to look beyond usual business boundaries and identify new potential markets. GMN not only provides the quality of research Mintel is known for but it also adds breadth to our global portfolio.”
The company says that at the touch of a button, Global Market Navigator reveals market size, segmentation and market share along with five years historical and forecast data. GMN allows users to check market conditions in an unfamiliar industry, region or country and easily compare performances to identify threats, risk and opportunities. It adds reliable search data to support business plans and goals and provides time-saving instant access to a global dataset of market sizes.
Mintel says from dairy to energy, retail to technology, the new service covers thousands of markets in six languages. Mintel has undertaken wide-ranging research with existing clients to ensure GMN provides a comprehensive business solution that will continue to evolve as a constantly updated resource.
