GOURMET GARDEN LAUNCHES NEW VARIANTS

October 20th, 2009

Gourmet Garden has launched a new range of herb and spice recipe bases that reflect the four most popular flavours in the world.

Fresh Blend ThaiThe Gourmet Garden ‘Fresh Blends’ range comes in four flavours Indian, Thai, Moroccan and Mediterranean flavours.

The makers say from spicy Indian flavours and exotic Middle Eastern dishes, to aromatic Thai seasoning and the fragrant herbs of the Mediterranean, use the Fresh Blends collection to season meat, fish, stir frys, curries, and vegetable dishes for an authentic flavour that is only possible from using fresh herbs.

They go on to say that for fans of Indian and Moroccan cuisine, Fresh Blends can be used to add a flavour kick to curries, tandoori dishes, stews and couscous, while Thai and Mediterranean cooking can be greatly enhanced with Fresh Blends for stir fries, noodle and curry dishes, as well as pizzas, pasta and salads.

Gourmet Garden Fresh Blends contain a combination of fresh herbs such as coriander, garlic, basil and chilli which are simply picked, washed, chopped, blended and packed into tubes to maintain all their fresh taste and nutrition.

The makers claim that Gourmet Garden offers the ultimate solution for easy cooking using fresh herbs and spices, but with all the convenience of dried herbs and spices. Ideal for busy cooks who don’t want to lose out on flavour, the tubes are stored in the fridge and keep their fresh taste for months, and can also be used straight from the freezer.

As well as the new Fresh Blends products, there are nine individual herb and spice blends available in the core range – Basil, Hot Chilli, Coriander, Chives, Garlic, Ginger, Italian Herbs, Lemon Grass, and Parsley – and each blend comes in a handy 115-120g tube.

Gourmet Garden Fresh Blends can be purchased from Tesco and Budgens, and will also be available in Ocado from November. Priced at RRP £1.89 each.
