WAITROSE SAYS SOFT DRINKS HAVE MADE A COMEBACK
The soft drink is making an official comeback with sales of traditional carbonates at Waitrose soaring by 117% since this time last year.
Whether its because people are cutting back on drinking mid-week or perhaps watching their weight, old fashioned favourites such as Barrs Original Traditional Lemonade, Dandelion and Burdock and Ginger Beer are fast becoming the drinks of the season. Along with the chance to relive childhood memories.
We are told that Fentimans Seville Orange Juice, Curiosity Cola and traditionally brewed Shandy are a classy alternative to an afternoon glass of wine or pint of beer. Here’s a Waitrose cocktail (I mean mixology) St Clement’s Choice 2 table spoon of Kombucha Cordial squeeze of 1/4 of lime 150 ml of Blood Orange and Mandarin Presse 75 ml Sicilian Lemonade The Black Dandelion 1 table Spoon of Kombucha Cordial 1 table spoon of Blackcurrant Cordial squeeze of 1/4 of lime 150 ml of Dandelion and Burdock The Pink Pom Pom 1 table spoon of Kombucha Cordial 1 tea spoon of Blackcurrant Cordial squeeze of 1/4 of lime 75 ml of pink lemonade 125 ml of Pomegranate Alibi Nettle Petal Pop 1 table spoon Nettle Cordial 150 ml Apple and Elderflower juice 150 ml Pink Lemonade squeeze of 1/4 of lime
