COCA COLA BOTTLE VOTED THE MOST ICONIC GLASS BRAND
A consumer survey of 2,800 people (from the UK and other main EU countries) has revealed that leading brand Coca-Cola is considered the most iconic glass packaging in the UK as well as in Europe.
Glass came top as people first choice for wines and spirits, 90% of the interviewed choose glass when buying these products. It is also interesting to note that 15 per cent of Brits mentioned that beer brand Grolsch reminded them of their youth, because the tops of the bottle were a highly coveted fashion item for attaching to their shoes – a craze started by top 80’s boy band Bros.
The survey also pointed out that 9 out of 10 consumers believe glass is best for luxury products. European consumers find that glass is “classy” and “authentic”. Other packaging categories are hardly considered to be appropriate for luxury products. In the UK, France, Germany and Spain, women find glass even more perfect for luxury products.
