BRITISH SANDWICH ASSOCIATION LAUNCHES TRAINING AT LUNCH SHOW

September 16th, 2009

The British Sandwich Association reports that with a surge in sales in the last three months, the market will achieve overall growth, despite earlier doubts.

The Association is an important sponsor of the Lunch Show held at Old Billingsgate market on the 1st and 2nd October and the event is expected to become a “showcase” for the industry.

The show will be used as a launch event for new training programmes backed by the Association and it will be running a special Training Academy, for people coming into the industry, at the show itself.

Like so many associations, the British Sandwich Association (BSA) sees training as essential to keep the industry buoyant and moving forward and it has had a number of on-line trainings in development.

The BSA is also launching a new Industry Guide for Sandwich Manufacturing, which is being written in association with the Foods Standards Agency.  This guide is undergoing a public consultation exercise and will be available in November.
