UBUK HAS LAUNCHED JACOBS CRACK’O'BITES

August 6th, 2009

Jacob’s has launched a new snack called crack’o'bites in three flavours – Cheese, Barbecue and Sour Cream & Chive. They are packed in 25g bags and have an MSP of 50p with two multipacks selling at £1.75.

The manufacturers say they are a delicious, light and crispy mini cracker that is baked and not fried. We are told they contain no artificial colours, flavours or MSG. They have no hydrogenated fat in line with UB’s continued commitment to removing this fat from their products.

Supported by a £1.5m above the line marketing campaign for Jacob’s Crackers that includes TV advertising which kicks off on September, the range will drive sales for retailers and allow them to continue to capitalise on the success of Jacob’s, the No. 1 savoury biscuit brand, which is currently worth £45m and growing at 5%.

They will be supported by a £1.5m above the line campaign.

Jacob’s claims to be the number one savoury biscuit brand which and has a value of £45m and is growing at 5% per annum.

Brand Director at UBUK, George Johnson is quoted by talkingretail.com as saying “This new range of Jacob’s Crack’o'Bites offers consumers a light, tasty baked snack for snacking on the go, lunchboxes, or simply for enjoying at home.
