BLOWN AWAY WITH DANDELION ALE

July 3rd, 2009

An organic Dandelion premium ale is the latest bottled beer to be launched by award winning Dorset brewery, Hall & Woodhouse.

The pale golden organic ale combines dandelion, which has been treasured for centuries for its herbal qualities, with floral hop notes to give a delightfully grassy hedgerow aroma. With its hint of sweetness to balance the natural bitterness of the hops and its fresh herbal finish it is a perfect match with a rack of organic lamb or freshly grilled trout.

Badger’s organic Dandelion premium ale (4.5% ABV) is available from June 2009 in Sainsbury and online at www.badgerdirect.com. RRP £1.99 (500ml).

Hall & Woodhouse uses Dorset Spring water that has been naturally filtered for up to a century through the Jurassic chalk downs and drawn up 120 feet from the brewery’s own wells, in all its Badger beers. Hall & Woodhouse also sources its yeast from within Dorset and the current Badger brewery yeast was last changed in 1934; it has been ‘pitched’ from brew to brew for well over 70 years.
