LONDON’S OWN ANTIPODEAN FOOD FESTIVAL – 26-28 JUNE

June 25th, 2009

An extraordinary food, drink & music festival is happening on London’s Clapham Common this weekend.  Called Toast 09 The festival is pitched at Australians, New Zealanders and a South African Audience.

Taking advantage of this event, Independent New Zealand wine producer VINULTRA is launching a limited edition of its Little Beauty wine.

The fiercely proud Kiwi brand, which expresses the passion and independence of its homeland, will be launched on New Zealand Day, Saturday, June 27th, where between 8,000 to 10,000 event goers will be introduced to an aromatic, intense and mouth-watering experience.

Little Beauty will be demonstrating the unique qualities that consumers demand from an independent brand, with tastings and a wine master class that will explore each limited edition Little Beauty varietal – focusing on the variation in aroma and flavour of each wine. To enhance this experience, tasters will be given bespoke recipes to complement each wine within the Little Beauty range. Little Beauty is also giving people the chance to win one of six cases of the brand’s wines being given away throughout the day, with the winners announced by ex-All Black Zinzan Brook, Toast MC.

As a ‘Friend of Toast’, Little Beauty will be hosting the event’s fashion award, which is open to all with registration available via the Little Beauty stand. The winner of the fashion award will receive bottles of Little Beauty. For a chance to win free tickets to New Zealand day at Toast, please go to the Little Beauty website and enter the competition: http://littlebeauty.co.nz/contact/lets-get-together

Named after the common Kiwi phrase “Little Beauty”, which is term of endearment, the brand’s classically styled wines are grown in Marlborough, New Zealand, at a very intimate and unique site in the Waihopai Valley. This region enjoys a maritime climate of cool summer nights and long autumns that is ideal for Vine Physiology. Although quite youthful (planted 2002), the vineyard has a proven heritage and takes full advantage of the stony soils typical of the area, with noted and unique flavours specific to the site.

Fleur McCree, co-owner, proud Kiwi and Little Beauty devotee comments: “Toast is the perfect event for Little Beauty’s first official outing. Little Beauty is engaging and is independently making her way in a fiercely competitive environment. We know we’ll get a warm welcome from our fellow Kiwis’.”

Wines in the Little Beauty range include 2008 Limited Edition Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, which offers a global allocation of 4,000 cases only, Pinot Noir, Dry Riesling, Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer, all of which are limited in volume but highly sought after.
