REAL ORGANIC FOODS COMPANY LAUNCHES NEW PASTA SAUCES

May 27th, 2009

Based in Watlington Oxford, the Real Organic Foods Company has launched four nrew pasta sauces.  The company claims they are gluten free, organic, free of added sugar, low in fat and low in salt.

They describe them as Trattoria pasta sauces which are created using ingredients inspired by the regional kitchens of Italy.

The variants are Arrabiata, Socilian Tomato & Olive, Tomato Pepper & Herb and Mushroom & Red Wine.

The Arrabbiata is claimed to be a traditional sauce made with sun-ripened organic Italian tomatoes, fresh red chillies and herbs.  The origin is the southern Italian provinces of Lazio & Basilicata.  The company says the sauce is best served with penne, the diagonally cut pasta named after it’s nib shape.

The Sicilian Tomato & Olive variant is made with organic olives, tomatoes and herbs and the company says the sauce is best served with fusilli.

The Tomato, Pepper& Herb variant is made with an aromatic basil which the company says is good with spaghetti.

Fiunally the Mushroom & Red wine sauce was inspired by autumn in the woods and hills of Tuscany and Umbria and is good with rigatoni.
