NEW GRAPE & KIWI LIMITED EDITION FROM J20

The UK’s No.1 soft drinks supplier within the on-trade, Britvic*, today announces the launch of a limited edition Grape & Kiwi flavoured J2O. The product is a lighter taste than the rest of the core range, ideally placed to compliment food. Available from the beginning of June, the limited edition will run an estimated 2 million bottles through the on-trade channel.

The Grape & Kiwi fruit flavoured combination will join the existing six strong range, which includes Orange & Passion Fruit and Apple & Mango. Currently the leading packaged soft drink within the licensed trade, outselling Budweiser and Magners*, J2O recently launched a new brand design. The new packaging includes a new label creative, maintaining its great bar call and building on its premium cues, communicating the luscious fruit flavour and retaining the recognizable bottle shape.

J2O hit TV screens this month as part of a £4m media campaign that will run throughout 2009. Entitled ‘It is metter to bix things up’, the clever creative brings simple product truth messages to life. The advertising campaign will run until the beginning of July.

Senior J2O Brand Manager, George Cobb, comments: “The new Grape & Kiwi flavour will be available just in time for the height of summer, allowing the licensed trade to drive incremental sales during this key seasonal period. J2O’s rich and tasty blend of two fruits, has allowed the brand to achieve an 80% share of the juice drink sub-category within the licensed trade equating to £178m** worth of annual sales. We recommend that the Grape & Kiwi variant be displayed alongside the existing range, using accompanying point of sale to enhance visibility.”
