SEEDS OF CHANGE – DIG YOUR DINNER CAMPAIGN
This March, leading organic food brand, Seeds of Change® is relaunching its DIG YOUR DINNER campaign following the success of the 2008 activity. The campaign, aims to highlight the taste credentials of organically grown produce and encourages people to experience the rewarding and great tasting benefits of growing their own organic food whether on the windowsill, in a patio pot or a vegetable plot.
Seeds of Change will be communicating the pleasurable taste and joy of growing your own food and tapping into the consumer agenda for self-sufficiency. Investing £1.4m into the campaign, it will include print, press advertising and PR support and sees Seeds of Change continuing its partnership with leading organic growing charity, Garden Organic, to raise awareness of and help save ten great tasting, endangered British tomatoes from its Heritage Seed Library for future generations.
As recipient of Seeds of Change’s 1% fund , Garden Organic safeguards the UK’s Heritage Seed Library – a collection of over 800 seeds facing extinction and champion’s biodiversity and organic practices. Bob Sherman, Director of Operations at Garden Organic, comments:
“We are delighted to be involved in the Seeds of Change DIG YOUR DINNER campaign again and are encouraging members of the public to get involved in saving ten great tasting British tomato varieties from our Heritage Seed Library. Tomatoes are a tasty and easy to grow vegetable – whatever the space – and its important that we champion and protect our British endangered varieties to ensure they remain alive for future generations.“
The campaign will also highlight Seeds of Change’s heritage as a seeds business and will be supported by celebrity gardener, Rachel De Thame who is raising awareness of the year long campaign and encouraging public involvement with top tips and advice on growing your own.
Gemma Kew, Seeds of Change, Brand Manager, comments:
“We’re excited about continuing the success of the DIG YOUR DINNER campaign and to renew our association with Garden Organic. We once again hope consumers get on board and fully appreciate the great tasting benefits of organically grown produce. As the recession brings more people into the garden to grow their own, we see a real opportunity to educate people on the importance of organic growing for a sustainable future. ”
Using only the best organic ingredients to make sure these recipes taste as good as possible, the Seeds of Change range of Pasta Sauces, Pasta, Indian Sauces, Soup, is 100% Organic and free from artificial additives, colours and preservatives.
