CORONATION STREET GETS ITS OWN ALE
Thepublican.com reported that J W Lees & Co, a Manchester Based brewery, is to sell a new beery under license from Coronation Street. The arrangement, which lasts five years, means that the 4.2% cask ale will be on sale in its pubs shortly.
Thepublican.com reported that William Lees-Jones, managing director of JW Lees & Co, had said: “We’re delighted to have signed this deal. Coronation Street is one of the most famous streets in the world. With our shared Manchester heritage, we’re excited to be teaming up with them to provide a premium quality draft ale which will be as complex and robust as a good Corrie plot line.”
Gustavo Antonioni, commercial brands director at ITV Global said: “We are dedicated to innovating highly engaging brand extensions that resonate with the core values and history of our television brands. We’re looking forward to bringing more quality products to life for our fans.”
