ASDA LAUNCHES NEW ARTISAN BREAD RANGE
As summer approaches, ASDA has a new range of stone baked artisan bread due in store on the 11th May.
The Mediterranean Loaf has sun-dried tomatoes, green olives, rosemary, oregano and basil - and ASDA claims it is the ideal partner to pastas, salads and cooked meats.
The Green Olive Loaf is made with a special combination of flour and semolina, chopped green olives, enriched with Extra Virgin Olive Oil, hand cut and dusted with flour.
The Date & Maple Loafis made with a blend of white and wholemeal flour, chopped dates and sweetened with Canadian Maple Syrup, this loaf is hand cut and dusted with flour for added bite. ASDA say it is ideally served toasted and buttered this bread has a refreshingly sweet and fruity flavour making it an appetizing alternative to your average loaf of wheat bread.
The new range also includes:
Stone baked Rustic White loaf – A light textured, Italian style versatile loaf, ideal with soups, pasta and cooked meats
Stone baked Malt and 6 seeded loaf made with malt flour, linseed, millet, brown linseed, poppy, golden linseed and pumpkin seed. Ideal for sandwiches, cheese and pickles
Stone baked Sunflower and Honey loaf – packed with oats, kibbled wheat, sunflower seeds and honey, ideal for sandwiches, soups or toasting
Stone baked Ciabatta loaf- An Italian style stone baked ciabatta loaf made with extra virgin olive oil
Pain de Campagne – A versatile full flavoured French rustic cob. Ideal for toasting and sandwiches
