BIRDS EYE LAUNCHES AMERICAN STYLE DISHES

Birds Eye is launching a new range of products under its Steakhouse brand. This is part of its plan to drive growth in the red meat category. Titles include are Sticky Chinatown Chicken Wings, Kickin’ Chicken Burgers and Tennesee Style BBQ Ribs.

The range, which is modelled on American style family restaurants such as TGI Fridays, Nandos and Harvesters capitalises on the trend for consumers to spend less on dining out and more on dining-at-home.

This will be one of Birds Eye’s biggest 2009 launches. Media will include outdoor, print and on line as well as PR and in store materials.

The RRP is £2.99 and the full range is Smokey BBQ Beef Quarter Pounders, Mexican Chilli Bean Burgers, Tenessee Style BBQ Ribs, 4 Lamb & Mint Kofta Kebabs, Sticky Chinatown Wings, Kickin Chicken Burgers.
