EASTER CAKE PROMOTION FROM PREMIER FOODS

March 25th, 2009

Premier Foods, with its large cake portfolio, is making the most of the important Easter cake season. The Easter Cake launch will be supported by above the line activity and in store activity.

Talkingretail.com reports that Cadbury is the leading Easter brand and value sales grew 15% in 2008 and are expected to continue at this rate. The Cadbury offering includes Mini-Eggs topped Chocolate Nest Cakes, Mini-Eggs topped Chocolate Cakes, Mini-Eggs topped Chocolate Gateau and an Easter Egg Selection Box.

Mr Kipling, which is the second brand in Easter Cakes will be launching a St Clements Slice as a sharing treat, and will re-introduce its Simnel Slices and Lemon Bakewells.

Naturally the products will carry the new graphics which were phased in during 2008.

Lyons Cake, again part of Premier, is launching a pack of six Cup Cakes in three flavours, Chocolate, Orange & Lemon.
