Squeezy cheese launches new flavour

December 16th, 2008

Squeezy cheese firm Primula has announced the launch of its new Smoked Cheese flavoured-spread.

Primula’s newest squeezy cheese offering will go on sale along side already established flavours such as Cheese and Chive, Cheese and Ham, Cheese and Prawn and Plain Cheese.

Craig Brooks, Marketing Director of Kavli – the makers of Primula – said that despite the gloomy economic outlook, Primula Cheese was confident consumers would adapt their purchasing habits and revert to "trusted, wholesome and good value brands."

Mr Brooks added that he was confident the new Smoked Cheese flavoured-spread would be a success because smoked cheese had experienced serious growth recently.

He said: "Smoked cheese is very much in vogue at the moment."

The launch follows a successful summer campaign which enticed consumers to try Primula’s squeezy cheese flavours. The new range will be available to buy in Morrison’s and Somerfield in early December.
