Magners launches Light promotion
The national launch of Magners Light is to be backed by a "heavyweight" advertising campaign in a bid to boost awareness of this healthier alternative to the popular cider.
Magners Irish Cider’s Dandelion advert, which was first aired in May, will now be aired nationally and screened by all the major networks for two weeks in the run up to Christmas.
As well as television promotion, adverts will also be printed in popular magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Marie Claire, Weightwatchers and OK magazine from December through to February, in an attempt to attract female drinkers who may be more health conscious.
Richard Barnes, brand manager at Magners, said: "Magners Light proved an instant hit when it launched in London last year and we have now secured distribution in all major off-trade retailers. We expect the product to be a huge success for publicans and retailers throughout the UK."
He added: "Heavyweight investment in TV advertising will help drive trial, awareness and sales of Magners Light as it rolls out across the country and we are convinced that this investment will make an impact."
