Hancocks’ egg-citing Easter offer
Hancocks confectionery cash and carry is to offer its customers a free eggs deal from January 1 until April 12.
The offer will be available exclusively to Hancocks customers looking to stock up on Easter eggs, while benefiting from a cash generating deal.
When retailers buy any two cases of Nestle’s countlines they will get a free Kit Kat medium egg and if they buy any two cases of Cadbury’s countlines they will receive a Crème Egg medium egg free of charge.
A senior buyer for Hancocks said this scheme will allow retailers to gradually stock up on Easter products while gathering a number of free eggs, which they can then sell for a clear profit.
Jonathan Summerley said: "Teenage eggs become the target of supermarket price wars year after year. If independent retailers have to purchase them, there is no way that they can compete and so we are giving them away for free instead."
The promotion will be available in all 16 Hancocks cash and carry outlets across the UK.
