Guide to English and Welsh wines

December 4th, 2008

The award-winning Wine Behind The Label team has compiled resources to produce a regional guide to wine.

A Guide to the Wines of England & Wales, which is the first in the series, gives a comprehensive overview of the industry in England and Wales.

The book is crammed with information on more than 100 vineyards and includes essential facts, background information and a profile of the leading wines, with tasting notes and interviews with the vineyard owners.

The book is full of dates and illustrations which offer a unique look at the English and Welsh wine industry and the role the industry plays in different regions.

The Guide, which has been produced by the team whose books have scooped all three of the major wine-writing awards in the UK, presents the history of the region’s wines and questions how wine ended up in the UK.

A contribution is made by Richard Selley, an acknowledged expert and author on the geology of English winelands. His topical essay charts the impact of climate change on viticulture.

A Guide to the Wines of England & Wales is available in all good bookshops and from online retailers.
