Prince honoured by salmon treat

November 7th, 2008

Birds Eye is celebrating the 60th birthday of Prince Charles by launching a posh new fish finger.

A recent surge in sales of fish fingers shows the popularity of the humble dish is going from strength to strength. With this in mind the frozen foods giant has decided to commemorate the up-and-coming date by unveiling its new salmon fish finger.

Up-market serving suggestions include a posh take on the classic fish finger sandwich using toasted ciabatta with fresh cos lettuce and lemon mayonnaise, as opposed to the traditional white bread and tomato sauce.

Birds Eye’s new Salmon Fish Finger is made from 100% wild pink salmon fillet and is distinctly more sophisticated than white fish options. The delicious Birds Eye Salmon Fish Fingers are available in 280g packs of 10, RSP £2.49, from Tesco outlets in November 2008.
