Peli-canned wine launched in UK

November 16th, 2008

The tinny is being upgraded from it amber nectar roots to embrace the red, white and rosé world of top table wine.

Wild Pelican, from Dutch drinks company Vinovation International, is being introduced to the canned wine market by international vintners Bottle Green.

The stylish peli-cans are billed as being perfect for airlines, mini-bars and cinemas, as well as supermarket shelves and simply drinking at home.

The range consists of three premium-quality wines: a full-bodied Tempranillo red, dry white Chenin Blanc and Grenache Shiraz rosé.

Vinovation’s Caroline Ruijg said: "Bottle Green’s impressive brand-building experience and excellent retail network makes it the ideal partner for Vinovation to launch Wild Pelican within the UK market."
