Organic fruit bar hits the market
Parents looking to fill their children’s lunchboxes with healthy and tasty options will interested to hear about a new bar from organic snack brand Fruitus.
The Fruitus range, launched by Lyme Regis Fine Foods, now includes Chewy Fruit Bars made from 95% fruit and available in tropical fruit, apple and pear and summer fruits.
The Chewy Fruit Bars follow the Fruity Oat Bars and Chewy Fruit Bites, which were launched in a number of varieties earlier this year.
Fruitus Chewy Fruit Bars contain one portion of fruit per serving and are free from added sugar, artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.
As with the existing Fruitus range, the Chewy Fruit Bars are packaged with recycled card. The bars will be available in Sainsbury’s from this month and in other major retailers in the New Year.
Dave Coulson, group marketing director at Lyme Regis Fine Foods’ parent group Glisten, said: "Consumers continue to search out convenient fruit snacks and the formed fruit sector is in growth.
"Fruitus offers a new generation of fruit snacking products that are more natural and delicious than ever before.
"Our new Chewy Fruit Bars have an intense fruity taste with a natural zing and provide a really delicious way to get a portion of fruit, with no ‘nasties’ added."
