Winemaker offers on-line tasting
Helping wine-loving Brits to better understand their favourite tipple has prompted an online tasting hosted by Montana, the New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc pioneer.
It has found that what most of us want to know about wine is the difference between grape varieties, followed closely by what constitutes a good or bad year.
To help improve the nation’s wine knowledge, on October 2 at 7pm, Montana is hosting the world’s first live and interactive internet wine tasting.
It is also offering six Brits and their partners the chance to experience New Zealand winemaking first hand with a money-can’t-buy trip to the Montana vineyards.
The Vintage Experience competition runs until the end of December and can be entered by answering a series of simple questions via the competition website.
Annabelle Kuhn, head of marketing, said: "More people in the UK are drinking wine than ever before but don’t necessarily know a lot about it and how to make an informed choice. We want to change all that."
