Sushi chain adopts hi-tech system
One of the world’s fastest-growing restaurant chains has commissioned a new, hi-tech telephony system as part of plans to keep its restaurant expansion on track.
Yo! Sushi has chosen Swyx to supply and implement the GPNetwork Solutions IP-based system which offers a range of features including, importantly, the ability for the chain to bring its home delivery service back in house. This service had previously been outsourced to a third party.
Yo! Sushi specialises in delivering high quality, Japanese-style sushi food to its customers via its now famous conveyor belt system.
The company plans to upgrade its existing 35 restaurants with the new technology and is also planning to roll out a further 15 outlets within the next year.
Billy Walters, Yo! Sushi’s IT manager, commented: "The on-going costs of the line rental and telephony maintenance were becoming a significant overhead to the business and as we had plans to double the number of outlets within two years this was an appropriate time to review our overall telecommunications strategy."
